How easy is it to get the correct colour?
It will take a few attempts to get the exact colour and it is possible. Practise on the cards before applying.

How long will the process take?

Once you have mastered the colour mixing, it literally takes a minute or two.

How long have you got before the paint starts drying?

The larger the droplet the longer you have to work with – it will dry within minutes.

I left a bottle open and the stuff inside has got thick. How do I dilute it?

The product is solvent based and can be diluted with common lacquer thinners.

Can this product be used for cracks?

We don't recommend it for cracks, especially hairline (very thin) cracks. If the crack is bad, it will make it a whole lot better, but still noticeable.

How durable is the product?

The liquid you have been supplied is of the highest quality and is extremely durable.

Can this paint be used in bathrooms and showers?

Yes. It is very durable and certainly waterproof. Just make sure that the tile is dry before applying the mixed fluid.

How soon can I walk on the repaired chip?

It can be walked on as soon as it is touch dry which will be approximately 10 - 15 minutes.

What type of tiles can be repaired?

Porcelain, Ceramic, Stone, Mosaics - almost any surface.

I have a whole lot of chipped tiles all over my house. How many chips can be repaired with one kit?

This is difficult to answer as it depends on how many colours you are going to be using in the kit. If your chips are 3 - 5mm in diameter, you will be able to repair a minimum of 200 chips.

Can I use the kit for tiles on my patio?

Yes, we have used the product successfully outside.

Is the finish Matt or gloss?

The dried liquid has a gloss finish. Fine water paper has been included in each kit and is to be used 48 hours after you have repaired your chip. Simply sand lightly to get a Matt finish.

Can I use the kit for marble tiles?

This product is not translucent but you will be able to get an exact match of the colours required. You will still be able to mask your chip by repeating the pattern in your marble tile.

What happens if my tiles are patterned?

This product is ideal for patterned tiles - you need to repeat the patterns by replicating the shapes within. As the liquid is touch dry within minutes, you will be able to mix up all the different colours in your tile. Work with one colour at a time.
